Getting it on the television

Two minutes, no store account.

LingLong TV is sideloaded. Allow installs from unknown sources first, under Settings › Device Preferences › Security & restrictions.

The easy way, with a sideloading app

  1. Install a helper such as Downloader from your device's store.
  2. Clear its address box completely first. It comes prefilled with http://, and typing a full address after that gives you something it will refuse.
  3. Type this in, exactly:
tv.okaay.com/apk
  1. It fetches the current version straight away. Confirm the install.

That address never changes between releases. It always points at the newest build.

From a computer, over ADB

  • adb connect <tv-ip>:5555
  • adb install -r linglong-tv-1.0.63.apk
  • Or in one line: curl -LO https://tv.okaay.com/apk && adb install -r apk

Your television's address is in its own network settings. Turn on ADB debugging there first.

Once it opens

  1. Add your playlist. M3U file or link, Xtream Codes login, or Stalker portal.
  2. Add an XMLTV guide address if you have one. The grid, catch-up and recording all read from it.
  3. Pick your countries. Everything else narrows to match.
  4. Set a parental PIN if the television is shared.

Typing on a remote is miserable. Switch on the phone companion in Settings and do the whole setup from your phone instead.
